NEMASKET RIVER

Well we finally got to get out for our first run of the 2015 season after a long, cold, snowy winter. Obviously I was excited to get back out on the water. We took our usual trip up the mouth  of the Nemasket River, starting at the Summer St bridge and heading down stream till right after you go under the power lines, and you will see  on your left the Nemasket flowing into the Taunton.

On this short trip we just went just beyond the first train bridge over the Nemasket before turning back. The river was impressively high from all the snow melt. It was strange how the river changes when the water is so high. Great trip though, and with us taking our sweet time, we stretched this trip out to about 2.5 hours..
